Stefan Henning

St. John’s, Indio

Nominee’s Bio: Christian. Husband. Veteran. I live to serve our God, my family, and our country, witnessing to those who need Christ and helping build His kingdom on Earth through hard work and faith. I have a Master's degree in Public Administration and work closely with the parish at St. John's in Indio.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: My unique background as a musician turned Civil Affairs Specialist, combined with my education in Public Administration, enables me to bring a unique blend of artistry, leadership, organizational planning, and public service that strongly supports the church’s ongoing management efforts. I coordinate and lead small teams of specialists in the Army Reserve who manage sensitive documentation and perform community-focused civil administrative operations in dynamic work environments with tight deadlines. We often act as liaisons for the Army and work between Army units, federal agencies, and allied partner nations. As chairman of my church’s infrastructure committee, I oversee a ~$136,000 budget. I negotiate contracts, plan meeting agendas, ensure fiscal responsibility, and reduce financial and physical risk to the parish. As a Department Assistant during my undergraduate degree, I maintained records and conducted extensive research, which was then used to write an education grant for underserved inner-city children to further their development. This helped me get acquainted with software systems such as Microsoft Office, which I now use extensively in the Army Reserve and my MPA.
