meredith riffel

St. Andrew’s La Mesa

Nominee’s Bio: As a lifelong Episcopalian and a dedicated Daughter of the King, I have taken a vow of prayer and service for the spread of God’s kingdom. Previously I served in Sunday School, youth group advisor, search committees, Camp Stevens staff, and Senior Warden. I retired 5 years ago from a local school district where I managed the community collaborative and developed resources for hundreds of children and families. I served on many boards and some county commissions and been member of St. Andrew’s, La Mesa more than 20 years.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: In Daughters of the King, we have a motto that says: For His Sake, I am but one, but I am one. What I can do, I ought to do. By the grace of God, I will do. Lord, what will you have me do?

I am inspired to broaden my ministry to the diocese. I feel that as individuals and parishes we are working to spread the Good News. As the corporate body of Christ, God is calling our diocese to be more missional in how we support and care for others. I am excited to share in this journey and help to better support the work of EDSD. The Church is changing with God ever present. I pray that God can use me in caring for His people.
