Nominee’s Bio: On September 12, 2026, I celebrated my sixth anniversary being ordained a vocational deacon in The Episcopal Church. I am currently serving as deacon at Good Samaritan Church in University City. Prior to this appointment, I served as the Archdeacon of EDSD. During my four years as archdeacon, I have had the good fortune of getting to know the people of the diocese, both lay and clergy. I have also had the chance to spread the Good News about what a vocational deacon is, both through my words and actions. It was during this time that Bishop Susan appointed me to the Commission on Ministry, allowing me the chance to get to know more about the formation of priests and deacons within the diocese. For the past 3 years, I have served as a member to the Disciplinary Board, learning more about the Title IV Canons of the Church, the process of the Board, and the pain experienced when the Canons are not adhered.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: I have been blessed with a full ministry within the Church these past 6 years through parish ministry, working closely with our Bishop and the deacons of the diocese. I have had the pleasure of serving on committees within the diocese. Each of these opportunities has allowed me to serve the Church in a unique way. As a member of the Standing Committee, another opportunity to learn more about and serve this diocese would be presented. I look forward to this opportunity if so chosen
