Andrew Waters

St. Timothy’s, San Diego

Nominee’s short bio: I have been a congregant at St. Timothy’s in Rancho Penasquitos since 2012 and have served as Senior Warden (two terms) and Vestry Member (3 terms) as well as involvement as an acolyte, usher, lay reader, altar guild head, and other ministries. I have also been on the finance team at St. David’s in Clairemont for the last year. On the diocesan level, I am currently a member of the Finance Committee and chair the Human Resources Committee.

Nominee’s Statement in Favor of Their Candidacy: During my time in the Episcopal Church, I have been privileged to receive multiple opportunities to serve in a variety of elected and volunteer positions. From my early years as a youth acolyte in North Carolina to my present time at St. Timothy’s, I have always found the church to be a place of peace, welcome, and refuge. I very much enjoy the chance to work doing the business of the parish and the diocese and I believe my diocesan committee/vestry experience has prepared me to take on new challenges.
